That is very impressive and such an interesting colour of passionfruit flower Autumn. Quite funny, the temperature here is now down to 8C and my purple-white variety is still flowering in the garden :D
My dear friends, here's some additional information:
This passion flower bears passion fruits which are edible but it is not the one (passiflora edulis) that is commercially grown for the passion fruits and juices. I have included a link if you wish to get further info.
I thought the name came from physical romantic passion but actually it is from The Passion of Jesus Chirst.
I fell in love with the strong scent of the passion flowers, especially the purple/white variety and I am looking for a seedling to grow. Wish me luck!

I love your scarlet passion flower. What a wonderful color and the flower, is, of course, fantastic.
I have gotten the passion fruit from a market and kept it aside to grow them to get some flowers.
But Im guessing they must be a different variety compared to these.
I'm guessing you can also grow them using stem cuttings.
The only thing is it grows very wild looking with too much foliage.
Hope you can ask Dr.Francis for more tips to plant this passiflora successfully & share with us (hehehe)

I would like to clarify that I have only met Dr. Ng twice and this learned gentleman is not associated me in any way. I am just a member of the public viewing his garden.
James, during the garden tour, Dr. Ng did mentioned that the passion flower can be grown by a cutting from the appropriate branch with growing nodes, selection to be done by an experience gardener. I have some photos of the purple passion flowers and passion fruits which I will be sharing in my coming posts. Do stay tuned.

Just look at all those buds waiting to bloom! I've seen them in purple this orange/coral shade is really beautiful!
What a beauty, Autumn Belle, I love the red and wow, so many buds! We have a native that is pretty but invasive here, P. incarnata with purple and white flowers and fruits that look like limes. We allow some to grow for the gulf fritallary butterfly, but this year did not have a single one. Is your a larval food for a certain butterfly?

How gorgeous! We can grow the purple passionflower here, but the scarlet tends to freeze. I think. :)
That is one spectacular Passionflower! The P. incarnata grows wild here on my farm and I always love seeing those intricately beautiful flowers.

Whar a lovely colour on your Passiflora. I think I have only seen them i blue tones before. Them we can grow inside in the windowscreen in winter and move outside in sommer. But they stay small, your looks like a hugh tree on one picture :)

Red passion flowers are looking beautiful. My blue ones still did not bloom. i think it would be a little fragrant.
