I saw this unusual arrangement of hibiscus flowers at the rooftop Secret Garden of 1-Utama last month. It looks like they are parading in an arch. At that time, there were dark nimbus clouds above, as though it was going to rain soon. What I like most about the hibiscus is the unique way in which the stigma and stamens are beautifull arranged along the style. In the photo above, a light breeze had caused them to sway in different directions.
I often have this feeling of being on 'Top of the World' when I am here at the rooftop. At other times, I have a weird feeling - Can you imagine there are traffic jams and people busy working, shopping, dining or watching movies below my feet ?

ReplyDeleteIf you visit Malaysia, do visit this garden. You can see hundreds of tropical flowers in one place. Next, you can shop till you drop, view nature and Kuala Lumpur's skyline from above and then go back to relax, catch up on beauty sleep at your hotel suites. Later you can even go to the gym or go swimming. Remember to try our many choices of Malaysian food.
Bananaz, the colour of this hibiscus is pale orange on the outside and dark red in the centre. You can bring DW MANGO here. Dr. Ng is growing a few types of ornamental banana and a dwarf banana but no mango tree here.

It make a lovely arch for wedding. I must visit OU rooftop garden if we ever come back. Since that is the only shopping complex we go since it is close to my parents home.

ReplyDeleteI love hybiscus, and when we lived in Santa Barbara CA years ago, we had a bush in our front yard with double pink hybiscus. Just a marvelous flower.

ReplyDeleteThat would be something, to see that rooftop garden...I LOVE hibiscus...but I only have one tropical...all the rest of mine have to be hardy...to last through our cold winters. I love how they are arching through the sky.
