Floribunda Shocking Blue Rose
These roses are from Floria 2011. The Floribunda Shocking Blue Rose bloom abundantly in sprays (inflorescences) and clusters with an intense fragrance.
“Floribunda Shocking Blue Rose”, a copyrighted post, was written for My Nice Garden blog by Autumn Belle @ http://www.mynicegarden.com/ on Oct 21st, 2011.
The Floribunda Shocking Blue roses are mostly mauve or lavender purple in colour based on the images I see from the internet. This one looks very pink but it is indeed the name displayed on the label.
Floribunda roses were first introduced in the early 20th century. It takes at least 3 years for the plants to grow a healthy root system and reach maturity before they start to bloom abundantly from late spring to winter frost. Useful as a hedge or accent specimen and can be planted on the ground in flower beds or in containers.
This is my entry for Fertilizer Friday hosted by Glenda, the link is here.
It's such a lovely Rose. One day I might try and grow my own Roses. I help to look after the Rose garden at my school, but I've never tried growing my own.
ReplyDeleteLovely, but I have no idea why they call it 'blue'. Almost reminds me of a double hibiscus.
ReplyDeleteoh rose you are sweet!

ReplyDeleteLovely rose, but where is it blue? I can see a hint of blue in the centre.
ReplyDeleteBernie, yes, try roses. You'll fall in love right away! However, roses need to be watered regularly, hence may be a problem in a drought tolerant garden.
ReplyDeleteAndrew, welcome to MNG!
Cloudia, the roses are as sweet as you!
Asha, glowing pink indeed.
Lotusleaf, I too see the blue hues glowing among the pink.
Giga says, "It is beautiful and has the tiny white petals pink accessories" (Google translate) - Thanks!
