Really learnt a lot from the Flower Show.

Farmer of the Greek blog, Olea & Gardening, Welcome to My Nice Garden! Thank you very much for the visit.

Asha Ram, HolleyGarden, it is indeed exotic.

One, Yes! I am going bananas this month, starting from April Fools day. I wrote some comments to you with Korean and Japanese greetings, not Greek ;-)

Diana, according to Wikipedia, Musa, the genus name is probably derived from the Arabic, Persian and Turkish word for banana.

Gardens at Waters East, according to internet sources, bananas that may be able to grow in Zone 5 is Musa lasiocarpa (posted earlier) and Musa velutina (my next post) and Musa basjoo ( I have never seen it yet) but over winter care is needed.

Tootsie, I have seen your banana plant and it looks great. The foliage is exotic and lovely even if it hasn’t bloomed yet. Hope it’ll bloom this summer. Good Luck!

Wendy, yes, they are gorgeous. After seeing the different colours and shapes of the ornamental bananas, I have begun to look at banana plants from a different perspective. There are quite many choices for a small garden.

Bangchik, the jantung is too beautiful to be eaten! Sayang-lah.

Radhika, some of the dwarf bananas look like bonsais on the ground.

Bananaz, 3 more coming soon, just like a banana beauty pagent ;>)

Sandra, this banana species has gorgeous flowers but mini fruits.Autumn Bellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00818422090556602092noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1660561043857404056.post-82906302492177340802011-04-10T03:28:57.149+08:002011-04-10T03:28:57.149+08:00That banana plant is gorgeous!

Then we will sell it to other interested bloggers like Solitude Rising, haha! I prefer this one than the pink, but if they will be planted side by side then it could be very beautiful. The other side will be planted to Heliconia and bunga kantan, other side is orchids of course.Andreahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06044386271018560595noreply@blogger.com
