In Malaysia, it is easy to grow pineapples successfully this way.

Mama Pongkey, it takes about 2 years for a pineapple plant to bear fruits if grown from the crown and about 1.5 years if grown from suckers/offshoots.

Andrea, you are right. I will need to learn how to prune and trim the bougainvillea to achieve the overall picture I like. Both the pink roses featured in this post have a nice fragrance. I really like the first one which has the rose fragrance I have always imagined it to be. My red roses have big thorns, very mild fragrance but the flowers are beautiful ^_^Autumn Bellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00818422090556602092noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1660561043857404056.post-35527591541314535932012-06-15T10:45:29.840+08:002012-06-15T10:45:29.840+08:00I would also love to have a bougainvillea like you...I would also love to have a bougainvillea like yours, i saw it in garden shows. However, what i saw was maybe not well planned, as the growths of variety differ, so not nice for the single grafted plant. It would be lovely if all the varieties have same rates of development. I also would love to trade with you the roses, mother has the red thornless but scentless. My Red pineapple is still immature but already big. The other one of a different variety has not fruit yet.Andreahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06044386271018560595noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1660561043857404056.post-36434138569079139482012-06-15T05:59:16.419+08:002012-06-15T05:59:16.419+08:00Beautiful flowers :-) I am also wondering how long...Beautiful flowers :-) I am also wondering how long after planting the pineapple head before it bears fruit?Mama Pongkeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00245475529615242728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1660561043857404056.post-37895832877362910322012-06-15T03:38:33.114+08:002012-06-15T03:38:33.114+08:00Your roses and bougainvillea are so beautiful!
