Purple Roses - Wise Words Wednesdays

A single rose can be my garden...
a single friend, my world.
..... Leo Buscaglia

Lavender roses carry the message of enchantment and love at first sight.

But he that dares not grasp the thorn
should never crave the rose.
- Anne Bronte

"Purple Roses”, a copyrighted post, was written for My Nice Garden blog by Autumn Belle @ http://www.mynicegarden.com/ on Dec 7th, 2011.

Man is harder than iron, stronger than stone
and more fragile than a rose.
- Turkish proverb

A thorn defends the rose,
harming only those who would steal the blossom.
- Chinese proverb

But friendship is the breathing rose,
with sweets in every fold.
- Oliver Wendell Holmes

The optimist sees the rose and not its thorns;
the pessimist stares at the thorns, oblivious to the rose.
- Kahlil Gibran
